'Saved by the Bell' star Tiffani Thiessen celebrates 50 by stripping down

 'Saved by the Bell' star Tiffani Thiessen strips off her clothes to celebrate her 50th birthday.

On her Instagram page, Thiessen posted a photo of herself sitting on a bed, barely covered by a sheet.

"Over the hill," he wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag "thisis50."

Some of his famous friends praised his bold celebration.



Jennifer Love Hewitt wrote, "Happy Birthday! I remember knowing you as a teenager and hoping to be as beautiful as you one day! And I still feel the same way! You're 50! I look great too!”

Sarah Michelle Gellar wrote, "I feel so beautiful (fire emoji)."


His "Saved by the Bell" co-star Elizabeth Berkley wrote, "Happy Birthday beautiful friend!!!!!"

Thiessen turned 50 on Jan. 23, but she's spent some of the past month counting down to the milestone.



Last week he posted a video and photo of the new butterfly tattoo on his hand.
He explained the significance of the symbol in the caption of the post.

"It was really special because I've always had a beautiful relationship with my grandmother and she loved butterflies. My mom and I both dedicated these tattoos to her. "It also seems appropriate because I'm feeling a new sense of change as I'm about to turn 50."


She said of her change in perspective, "I don't really know why that is. I think I have theories on why that is." Thiessen is the mother of two daughters, Harper and son Holt, with her husband Brady Smith. The couple has been married since 2005.

"I'm going to be 50 in a few months... and I'm accepting it. I'm really embracing it as best I can."


Thiessen focuses on balance when it comes to staying healthy. In addition to her film and TV work, she is a cookbook author and enjoys baking.

She said of her daily routine, "I exercise... I drink a lot of water. I try to take care of my body and my mind because I believe that both go together to be healthy. Let's go."

"I want my kids to see that I take care of myself, you know, inside and out."

One of his favorite healthy things to do is ice diving, which other celebrities like Mark Wahlberg and Zac Efron have also enjoyed.


Thiessen said she has "grown into this a lot over the last few years" and noted that the first time she did it was with her in-laws, who "are in the health business."
