Dr. Phil visits Southern Border, blasts Biden admin for handling of illegal immigration crisis

 Former daytime talk show host Phil McGraw visited the southern border in Texas on Friday and criticized President Biden and Vice President Harris for the administration's response to the influx of migrants coming through the border illegally.

McGrath spoke about the ongoing crisis at the border, including the legal battle between the Texas government and the federal government, and Harris' absence at the U.S.-Mexico border after she was identified as a border czar at the start of the Biden administration.

"Ending my journey at the border. This is something I had to see with my own eyes. I have so much to say and share," he wrote on X.

In a video posted on Twitter, the former "Dr. Phil" host referenced Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott's claim that Biden has "refused" to enforce security laws and has barred thousands of immigrants from entering the U.S. legally. "Tempted" to avoid points.

"Texas law enforcement seized more than 454 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this mission. Governor Abbott said the federal government has broken the agreement between the United States federal government and the states," McGrath said. "Governor Abbott says President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them."

McGrath also pointed to Department of Homeland Security data before claiming that the number of immigrants entering the U.S. illegally since Biden took office in 2021 "exceeds the population of 33 different states."

“According to the Department of Homeland Security, in just the three years since President Biden took office, more than 6 million illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border of Texas,” McGrath said. "That's more than the population of 33 different states in this country. And what about our Vice President Kamala Harris? Do you know she's our country's immigration chief? Guess how many times she's been to the border? Once."

It comes amid a battle between Texas officials and the Biden administration over handling the border. Last month, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Biden administration, allowing it to cut the razor wire erected along the border in the Lone Star State.

Texas has also seized Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, which has seen a significant increase in illegal border crossings, a move the Biden administration has said has prevented the Border Patrol from doing their job.
