Police look for '3 stooges' caught on video slipping and falling during armed robbery

Police are searching for the "Larry, Curly and Moe" trio, who fled in an armed robbery of a Texas fast-food joint.

Masked suspects threatened employees at a Beaumont, Texas, Popeyes Chicken with a gun and demanded money shortly before 9 a.m. on New Year's Eve, police said.

His slippery slope into criminal life began with his stumble upon the first suspect. Then, the other one slipped on top of him.

The third suspect looked like a new skater on the ice for the first time, but he regained his balance in time to escape the human pile of thieves.

The Beaumont Police Department sparked some mockery on social media, asking the public if they recognized "these three puppets" who came and went in the blue vehicle seen at the beginning of the surveillance video, which was posted on Facebook.

"Larry, Curly and Moe (captured in the video below) accused Phelan of walking into Popeyes armed with a pistol, threatening the employees and demanding money," police said.

“We understand they are masked, but they are wearing very distinctive clothing.”

The suspects are later seen on video grabbing an undisclosed amount of money before running away.

Police asked anyone with information to call Beaumont Police at 409-832-1234 or Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477).
